When international darts stars come together while a new leisure attraction celebrates its premiere, the Nürburgring turns into a stage for a truly dynamic event weekend: While the sold-out “Darts am Ring” gala created an electrifying atmosphere with 3,800 fans, the stars of the evening had already tested another stage in advance – the newly opened ring°bowling at the ring°carré.

Nürburgring. In the ring°arena, top players such as Luke Humphries, Nathan Aspinall, Joe Cullen, Maximilian Hopp as well as Gian van Veen and Yorick Hofkens delivered high-quality matches. Cult caller Russ Bray added to the goosebump moments, as his legendary “One hundred and eighty!” call echoed through the arena. The fifth edition of the event seamlessly continued the success of previous years and, for the first time, welcomed a completely sold-out crowd. The players first competed in two groups for a place in the semi-finals before Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall faced off in the final. In the end, Nathan Aspinall secured the win and celebrated his victory at the Nürburgring.

Humphries and Hopp impressed by the Nürburgring’s versatility
Even before the first dart was thrown in the evening, the professionals had already tested the newly opened ring°bowling – and were impressed. “The new ring°bowling is a really cool venue. It’s not just about bowling – you can also play darts, billiards or just enjoy a drink,” said Maximilian Hopp. “I always enjoy coming to the Nürburgring, whether it’s for the 24-hour race or the Truck Grand Prix. For me, it’s a great and versatile event location.”

A similar view was shared by the 2024 world champion Luke Humphries, who, together with his teammate Nathan Aspinall, won the bowling challenge: “The Nürburgring is a legendary racetrack, but what really stands out is its versatility. It’s a fantastic location – also for families looking to enjoy different kinds of experiences.”

The modern bowling facility at the ring°carré was fully booked throughout the entire opening weekend, underlining the Nürburgring’s growing importance as a year-round leisure and event destination. Eight lanes, complemented by additional offerings such as darts and billiards, create a versatile experience for visitors as well as for corporate events.

Following a highly successful event weekend, the Nürburgring now looks ahead to more exciting weeks – with its characteristic mix of motorsport, entertainment and a wide range of B2B offerings, now further enhanced by ring°bowling.
