Next Saturday (July 9), there will be a supplement on the legendary Nordschleife from 12 noon: Namely, two hours of motorsport on top at the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS). The ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr Cup race is on the schedule. So spectators can look forward to an extra 120 minutes compared to the 4-hour races: more laps, more overtaking maneuvers, more excitement. For those who don't want to miss the endurance race through the Green Hell: tickets are available for a family-friendly 18 euros per person (children under 14 free). This not only gives access to the open grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit and the exclusive spectator areas Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten, but also to the paddock, the pit lane and the starting grid. Those who cannot watch the race live on site should tune in to the elaborately produced livestream on Saturday morning. The broadcast with thrilling footage from the ROWE helicopter, numerous onboard cameras and the KW-SlowMo starts at 08:15 and ends with the podium ceremony at around 18:30.

Of course, the SP9 cars and their drivers will be the focus of the action in the Eifel. There will be a "half" winner at the start. Kuba Giermaziak will once again take his seat in the NLS4 winning car and returnee Kim-Luis Schramm will again take René Rast's place in the Audi R8 LMS of Team Scherer Sport by Phoenix. The 24-year-old was recently absent due to scheduling conflicts. "Our number 16 has been in good form recently. At the end of May, I clinched my best result so far in the 24-hour race with the car in fifth place, and it even won at NLS4. We'd like to continue with that. I think we have a good chance," says Schramm, who faces tough competition from within his own camp.
Because with the number 5 car, Vincent Kolb and Frank Stippler, who most recently finished third overall and clinched their first podium finish of the season, are also worthy of attention. "Due to the longer duration, the race will be more mentally and physically demanding. We're driving in pairs and therefore have a lot of driving time. We want to keep up with the speed of the front runners and remain flawless. Then we'll see where we come out at the end," says Frank Stippler.
Falken Motorsports is back with two Porsches
The two Mercedes-AMG GT3s from Schnitzelalm Racing will also want to be in the mix at the front. Last time Marcel Marchewicz and Miklas Born finished fifth, this time they will be supported by Philip Ellis. Carrie Schreiner wants to confirm sixth place with her friend Peter Terting. Another promising candidate should be the BMW M4 GT3 of Walkenhorst Motorsport with Andy Soucek, Ben Tuck, Henry Walkenhorst and Christian Krognes, who finished second last time with Sami-Matti Trogen. Until the retirement due to a puncture, Hubert Haupt had also performed with Luca Stolz at the last NLS round in the Haupt Racing Team's Mercedes-AMG GT3. Stolz will start this time together with Lucas Auer and Jordan Love. Last but not least, Falken Motorsports is back in the Eifel with two Porsche 911 GT3 R cars with the crews Joel Eriksson/Sven Müller and Alessio Picariello/Tim Heineman. Eriksson and Heinemann celebrate their debut in the Falken Porsche.
First Nordschleife race for #QuickGabi and Robert Haub
In the ADAC GT4 Germany, "Quick Gabi" and Robert Haub already caused a sensation last year. In 2022, the duo will compete in the German and European GT4 championships. The ROWE 6h ADAC Ruhr Cup race now marks their first race appearance on the Nordschleife. "Robert and I are absolute Nordschleife newcomers," knows Gabriela Jílková, who has already contested performance tests in the RCN in order to obtain the DPN B license. "Our goal is to gain as much experience as possible, to reel off as many laps as possible. And - we're racers - at best we'll find ourselves at the front of our class at the end." The 27-year-old has been fascinated by the Nordschleife since the age of 16, when she first came into contact with simracing. She has reeled off countless laps in the virtual Green Hell. "That really helped me in the RCN events," she says. In the 6h race, the two debutants will go into the race together with Maximilian Kurz and Roland Schmid in the BMW 330i from QTQ-Raceperformance. The medium-term goal is the "big" Nordschleife Permit A. "And then just see where the journey takes us. This is our second year racing in GT4. Of course, we want to move up to GT3 at some point. Hopefully that will work out."
