PARKING AND TEMPORARY CAMPING SITE REGULATIONS
Status: January 2024
During various events, we open our parking areas to make them available to you as camping areas. Opening is carried out by the Nürburgring security service. Please observe the following parking and camping site regulations:
§1 By entering a parking or camping site, the visitor submits to these parking and camping site regulations.
§2 The rules and signs of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) and the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) apply on the site, including the access and access roads. Driving is only permitted for arrival and departure. The maximum speed permitted is 10 km/h. The Nürburgring reserves the right not to allow certain vehicles to drive onto the courses due to their weight or excess length.
§3 Drones and similar objects are only permitted to take off, land and fly over the entire site with the prior agreement and special permission of the Nürburgring and the relevant authorities. This provision applies to drones and all other flying objects of this type, whether they require a permit or not. Violations will be prosecuted accordingly.
§4 The Nürburgring accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to property, regardless of whether they are based on contract or statutory regulations. This exclusion does not apply to damage resulting from injury to life, limb or health caused by an intentional or negligent breach of duty - including that of a legal representative or vicarious agent of the group of persons liable - and not to other damage caused by an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty - including that of a legal representative or vicarious agent of the group of persons liable.
§5 The parked vehicles are not guarded. Therefore, when leaving your vehicle, please ensure that the doors, trunk, windows and sunroof are closed and that no objects have been left in the car. We also ask you not to leave any animals in the vehicle. Animals must be kept on a lead throughout the site. In the interest of theft protection, the Nürburgring reserves the right to carry out spot checks on departure, during which the sections of the parking receipts are checked for conformity.
§6 The parking and camping area is monitored by video cameras in some areas. The video surveillance of the site serves the purpose of security, the protection of domiciliary rights and the prevention and investigation of criminal offenses. The relevant areas are marked with a sign.
§7 The Nürburgring is not liable for theft of or damage to your vehicle by third parties. This also applies if damage is caused by storm, fire, hail, explosions or other extraordinary events.
§8 Parking - if permitted - is subject to a charge. Anyone who evades this obligation is liable to prosecution. A separate fee is charged for special vehicles (Unimogs, tractors, trucks, buses, refrigerated trucks, etc.). A fee is also charged for trailers of all types, in addition to the vehicle.
§9 Camping - if permitted - is subject to a charge. The camping areas may only be entered with a valid admission ticket or in conjunction with a valid and undamaged camping wristband. Anyone who fails to comply with this obligation is liable to prosecution. Early departure has no effect on the camping fee paid. The ticket will not be refunded, not even partially, in the event of early departure. The Nürburgring lies entirely within the "Rhein-Ahr-Eifel" nature reserve. Camping is only permitted in the designated areas at the times specified. At the entrance to the camping areas, vehicles, trailers, caravans etc. are selectively checked and searched for prohibited items. Prohibited items include, among others: Firearms, cutting, stabbing and other weapons of all kinds saws, axes, hatchets and comparable tools, pyrotechnic objects of all kinds, furniture and objects identifiable as bulky waste, construction and firewood, palletized goods, unannounced drones, motorized means of transport of all kinds that do not comply with the StVZO.The stewards have the right to confiscate such items for the duration of the event against a receipt. Confiscated items must be returned to the Nürburgring Operations Office in House A at the times printed on the receipt.
Our security staff is authorised to confiscate items of this kind that are brought to the premises for the duration of the event. If they do so, they will hand out a receipt. The confiscated items will be returned during the periods printed on the receipt at the operations headquarters of Nuerburgring in building A.
§10 No barriers (gutters) or other holes may be dug in the parking and camping areas.
§11 The construction of own grandstands is only permitted in Layher scaffolding construction with a maximum height of 1.50 m (measured from the ground). The Nürburgring reserves the right to have Layher grandstands/scaffolding dismantled if they pose a risk to other visitors or to the race operations. The installation of tarpaulins/banners to cover the Layher grandstands is not permitted for reasons of stability (wind load). Self-constructed wooden grandstands etc. are generally prohibited and will be removed and the material disposed of by the Nürburgring at the expense of the person responsible. Technical aids to improve visibility such as aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, crane trucks or similar are prohibited. This also applies to the placement of such aids within the parking and camping areas. In addition, the erection of masts of any kind is prohibited for safety reasons. In the event of non-compliance, the equipment in question will be removed from the site at the expense of the person responsible.
§12 We ask you to refrain from the following: Unnecessary running of engines, unnecessary driving movements on the site especially with quads, mopeds, scooters etc. This does not apply to arrival and departure. Driving with non-road-legal vehicles (self-built) and lawnmower tractors is generally prohibited. Noise of any kind, e.g. loud music systems. The night's rest between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. must be observed. At other times, music systems may only be operated at caravan/tent volume. Furthermore, the loudspeakers of any music systems operated must be aligned in such a way that only the area of the operator of the music system is covered. The maximum volume can be limited by security staff for the protection of residents. The performance of live bands in the camping areas is generally prohibited for noise protection reasons. The setting off of fireworks of any kind is prohibited. The lighting of campfires is prohibited. Barbecue fires are only permitted in approved and suitable containers. In the event of storms or similar weather conditions, barbecues may be prohibited for safety reasons. The barbecue must never be left unattended to burn or burn out. It is forbidden to throw out charcoal to burn out. Gas cooking appliances must be in perfect technical condition and comply with the German DIN standard. Only gas cartridges (piercing and valve cartridges) with a maximum filling weight of 450g may be used. The cutting down of branches and trees is not permitted. The damaging party will be held liable for any damage.
§13 Waste must be collected separately in the bags provided and handed in at one of the collection points on departure. If a waste deposit has been paid, this will be refunded at the times printed on the card. All waste, including deposit bottles/cans, is the property of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG. The collection of deposit items as well as the destruction of waste collection points is prohibited and will be prosecuted as a criminal offense.
§14 Paths, grounds and all facilities of the parking and camping areas must be kept clean and treated with care. It is also forbidden to enter the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife. Willful soiling of the tracks or other objects is prohibited and will be prosecuted and punished as vandalism.
§15 Chemical toilets, e.g. for caravans or mobile homes, cannot be emptied on the Nürburgring site. Emptying into the waste water network of the Nürburgring is not permitted.
§16 Pollution of waters is prohibited.
§17 Do not block access and rescue routes, otherwise we will have the vehicle towed away at the expense and risk of the vehicle owner. In this context, please also observe the signage and the instructions of the Nürburgring security service.
§18 Damage to fences, signage etc. will be reported to the police. Painting the race tracks is prohibited and will be reported as damage to property in the event of infringement. The stewards are entitled to confiscate such utensils (e.g. paint, brushes, paint rollers, spray cans, etc.) without replacement.
§19 Willful damage to trees and groups of trees on park and camping areas and adjacent woodland is prohibited and will be prosecuted as vandalism.
§20 Activities that do not correspond to the original purpose of the campsite are not permitted (e.g. commercial activities).
§21 The campsite must be kept tidy by the camping guest at all times. The Nürburgring is entitled to demand or arrange for the removal of waste lying around the respective pitch.
§22 Reservations of parking spaces are only permitted after prior consultation with the Nürburgring management. Blocking off (reserving) areas on the camping sites is strictly prohibited. In the event of non-compliance, the security service is entitled to remove the barriers erected and to confiscate the barrier material without replacement.
§23 Barriers may not be climbed over for reasons of safety and landscape protection.
§24 The Youth Protection Act applies to all parking and camping areas.
§25 Consideration must be shown towards other users of the site.
§26 The instructions of the Nürburgring security service must be followed at all times. Please support us in implementing these site regulations. Failure to do so will result in immediate expulsion from the site. In individual cases, we reserve the right to press charges and issue a ban from the premises.
Please help us with the implementation of these site regulations. Violations of and non-compliance with the regulations will lead to an immediate expulsion from the site. We reserve the right to bring charges in individual cases.
