Contract until 2021: Nürburgring and TÜV Rheinland extend partnership

TÜV Rheinland continues its commitment to the Nürburgring. Dr. Matthias Schubert, Executive Vice President of Mobility at TÜV Rheinland, and Mirco Markfort, CEO of Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG, have signed a corresponding cooperation agreement for another three years. This includes the naming and advertising rights for the TÜV Rheinland Tower and for the TÜV Rheinland Service Center directly at the Grand Prix circuit. In addition, the advertising rights are also guaranteed in the contract for the virtual world. Thus, the TÜV Rheinland will be seen as in reality in all racing games and simulations.

"The Nürburgring is the center of emotional customer events for TÜV Rheinland," explains Matthias Schubert. "In addition, we strive for closer cooperation in topics such as autonomous or networked driving, alternative drives, cyber security or digitization."

Since 2005, the partnership between the racetrack and the technical service provider exists. "TÜV Rheinland has been a permanent partner of the Nürburgring for many years. The TÜV Rheinland Tower right next to the start-and-finish straight is one of the recognizable values as a highly visible part of our infrastructure. With the new contract and the continuation of the partnership, both brands underline the importance of mutual engagement, "says Nürburgring CEO Mirco Markfort.

The contract, which will be concluded until 2021, is also a confirmation of the common values embodying both partners. In addition to a long-standing history with a strong brand appeal, this also includes the commitment to safety and sustainability in road traffic and racing.
