Historical Motorsports Meeting

On the occassion of the 90th birthday of the legendary Nürburgring, a new - but partly well-known - motorsport event will take place in the Eifel. The "Nürburgring Classic" takes place in the tradition of many racing sport meetings on the anniversary weekend of the Nürburgring. On June 18th, 1927 the Nürburgring was opened - the "Nürburgring Classic" will take place on the Ring for 16th to 18th June 2017.

More than a dozen racing series will be guests during the new Motorsport meeting. The Nürburgring becomes a colorful meeting place for classic owners in an authentic place. As part of the Nürburgring Classic, the "ADAC-Eifelrennen" will take place as the 3-hour race of the FHR long-distance and Youngtimer. A highlight in the program. The name "Eifelrennen" was born in the opening race in 1927.

„The Green Hell“ in the Cinema "ring°kino"

Green Hell - Der Film

On 15, 17 and 18 June 2017 the ring°kino will be showing the film "The Green Hell" at 5:00 pm. The film portrays the history of the race track. Exclusive interviews and unpublished archive material makes it a must for motor sport fans.

The history of the Eifel Race

With a history reaching back to the year 1922, the ADAC Eifel race is the most traditional motorsports event in Germany. It consists of a series of 66 events so far, which have taken place over 81 years, on a par with such classic as the Grand Prix of Germany, France, Italy and Monaco, the 24-hour race in Le Mans and the 500-mile race in Indianapolis. The Eifel race is associated with names, events, automobiles, motorcycles and countless anecdotes that have made history.
