RAVENOL and the Nürburgring are expanding their partnership. The renowned lubricant manufacturer has been involved with the world’s longest permanent racetrack for many years, and now both parties are taking their collaboration to the next level. Effective immediately, the prestigious first corner of the Grand Prix track will bear the name “RAVENOL-S.” Additionally, RAVENOL owns a VIP lounge at the Nürburgring, serves as the official lubricant partner of the Nürburgring Driving Academy, and lends its name to the “RAVENOL Media Center.” This extensive partnership will run until at least 2028. Spectators at motorsport events at the Nürburgring will now have their eyes on the RAVENOL-S. Located at the end of the start-finish straight, this tight corner marks the first braking point for drivers, setting the stage for thrilling overtaking maneuvers and intense battles for position. With this new naming agreement for the prestigious first corner, RAVENOL and the Nürburgring are deepening their relationship, making the globally active lubricant manufacturer from North Rhine-Westphalia even more present at the Ring. Since 2016, RAVENOL has been actively involved at the legendary racetrack and has continuously expanded its commitment. In addition to the RAVENOL-S, the company’s logo is prominently displayed on the pit wall, the pit building, and as part of a naming-rights agreement at the RAVENOL Media Center. Many participants in Nürburgring driving experiences – especially those in the popular formula courses – are also familiar with RAVENOL as a partner of the Nürburgring Driving Academy. Furthermore, the company holds one of the coveted VIP lounges directly above the pit lane, offering an unparalleled view of the track action in an exclusive atmosphere. “Our first corner is known to every motorsport fan as a guarantee for exciting racing. We are pleased to integrate our long-standing partner even further into this prominent location,” says Christian Stephani, Managing Director of the Nürburgring. “Our partnership with RAVENOL has been growing successfully for almost a decade, and it will continue at least until 2028.” “With partner racing series such as the NLS, DTM, and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Race, the Nürburgring plays a vital role in our company’s motorsport season. The new RAVENOL-S, along with our presence on the pit wall and, most notably, at the highly visible RAVENOL Media Center, is yet another testament to the strong and long-standing partnership between RAVENOL and the Nürburgring,” adds Martin Huning, Director of RAVENOL Motorsport.

NLS 1 - Falken celebrates one-two victory in front of a record crowd

22.03.2025

What a start to the 49th season of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie: Falken Motorsports celebrated a double victory right at the opening round. Sven Müller and Morris Schuring were waved off in the Porsche 911 GT3 R with a lead of 3.068 seconds ahead of their teammates Dorian Boccolacci and Nico Menzel. But that wasn’t all, as in the end, four sports cars from Zuffenhausen occupied the top positions. The success for Porsche was completed by Ayhancan Güven and Thomas Preining in the 'Grello' from Manthey-Racing, as well as Matteo Cairoli and Bastian Buus in the Dinamic GT Porsche. Around 7,000 spectators attended the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, visiting the grandstands, the paddock, and the exclusive spectator zones at the Nordschleife. Only once in the history of the traditional racing series have more tickets been sold on a single race day. Interest from fans was also high at the free Nordschleife spots for the first race of the season. The first surprise of the day came from Frank Stippler in qualifying: in the Audi R8 LMS from JUTA RACING, he secured the team's first pole position, setting a time of 7:51.530 minutes, driving for the team built around the ambitious amateur drivers 'SELV' and Alexey Veremenko. A colorful brand mix followed in qualifying on the other positions: the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 from Walkenhorst Motorsport, the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo from Dörr Motorsport, the Ferrari 296 GT3 from REALIZE KONDO RACING with Rinaldi, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 from Red Bull Team ABT, the two Mercedes-AMG GT3s from Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed, and the BMW M4 GT3 from ROWE RACING. The second Mustang from HRT qualified in 13th place on its Nordschleife debut. After the start, Stippler initially defended the lead. A brief rain shower between practice and the race turned the opening phase into a tire thriller. At the end of lap one, the Abt Lambo returned to the front. The Dörr McLaren also collected some lead laps, as did the Porsche 911 GT3 R from BLACK FALCON Team EAE, the Aston Martin from Walkenhorst, 'Grello', and the two Falken Porsches. "The start was difficult, as we began the race on rain tires and came into the pits for a tire change to slicks right after the first lap," said Schuring, who celebrated his first NLS victory ten years after his father. 'Gerwin' won the season finale in 2015 in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR from Black Falcon – the last non-GT3 victory. "But that turned out to be absolutely right later on, because the strategy worked perfectly." Müller added: "From P15 to P1 – that's how it's done." Even though he was waved off in second place behind his teammates, Menzel was satisfied: "You couldn’t have a better start to the new season." DTM champion Preining was also glad to have claimed a podium finish in the end. After an unintended spin in the AMG Arena on lap one, the Manthey duo worked their way up from the back of the first starting group step by step. "To finish third after the turbulent starting phase was not something we expected," said the Austrian. "We were on the right tire from the beginning and therefore saved a pit stop." Behind the leading quartet, the ROWE BMW, the GetSpeed AMG #17, the Dörr McLaren #69, and the Abt Lambo crossed the line in fifth to eighth positions. Winners of the Pro-Am class were Daan Arrow, Gabriele Piana, Ben Bünnagel, and Mike Stursberg in the Black Falcon Porsche. Moran Gott is the first 'Driver of the Race'BMW 325i driver Moran Gott is the first 'Driver of the Race'. The Israeli contested the race solo with the vehicle he had built himself over the past six weeks. He wasn’t discouraged by setbacks during the race. A crash was repaired during the race by Sorg Rennsport, who support the vehicle on-site, and a tire failure in the final stages also didn’t stop Gott from being classified fourth in his class. "Normally, I want to be honored when I win," said Gott. "Today, many things didn’t go perfectly – but I still wanted to continue. Being recognized for that does make me a bit proud." The decision on the 'Driver of the Race' is made jointly by the NLS race management, ILN driver committee, and the track announcer. The trophies are donated by the Interessengemeinschaft Langstrecke Nürburgring (ILN). The first victory in this year’s newly created BMW 325i Challenge by Goodyear went to Jonas Spölgen and Eugen Becker. Second place was secured by Juha Miettinen, Dan Berghult, and Oliver Frisse from Keeevin Sports and Racing. Simon Sagmeister, Jürgen Huber, and Dirk Vleugels completed the class podium. Father and son Bohrer win two races in one dayIn the first race of the new NLS Youth Kart Championship, eight-year-old Jonas Bohrer won his K1 age class. Afterwards, he gave his dad strong support – and dad followed suit confidently. In the NLS race, father Michael Bohrer, together with Gerrit Holthaus in the Hyundai i30N, claimed first place in the VT2-F+4WD class. "A cool and perfect race day," grinned Jonas after the award ceremony, which took place just before the NLS class victory ceremony. In K2, the kart-kids winner was Mick Schmidt (ACV OC Lahnstein), in K3 David Böttcher (MSC Konz), in K4 Florian Rauhe (MSC Adenau), and in K5 Tobias Mosdzen (KSC Wülfrath). The second round of the ADAC Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie will take place on April 26. The ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy will once again be held over a four-hour distance. Tickets for race number two of the season are available in advance for 25 euros (children up to and including 14 years free) at vln.de/tickets. This grants access to the open grandstands at the Grand Prix circuit, the exclusive spectator areas at Brünnchen and Pflanzgarten, as well as the paddock, pit lane, and starting grid.

Nürburgring has a full calendar of events in 2025

12.03.2025

Ready for a full-throttle 2025: the engines will finally start up at the Nürburgring in March. And once again, the event calendar is full to bursting: 60 events make the Eifel race track a worthwhile destination for many good reasons well into the fall. Racing spectacle, festival summer, comedy evening or family outing: the Nürburgring will make hearts beat faster again this year. They belong to the Ring as much as the champagne shower on the podium: crowd-pullers such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, the DTM, Rock am Ring, the Truck Grand Prix and the Oldtimer Grand Prix will once again attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Eifel this year. A fast-paced mix that includes around 60 public events between March and November alone. Major events alternate with hands-on motor sports and small after-work pleasures, such as the Nürburgring cycling and running club or the Afterwork Classics. One of the highlights will be the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. On the Corpus Christi weekend (June 19-22), well over 100 race cars will take on the ultimate challenge: 24 hours non-stop on the most demanding track in the world. A spectacle – also because of its passionate fans. Tens of thousands will be camping along the track, creating the unique atmosphere of the Ring. One new feature this year is a particularly family-friendly camping option in the new Family & Friends area. If you enjoy the thrilling and close racing on the Nordschleife, there are many other opportunities to experience racing action in the Green Hell throughout the year at the ADAC Nürburgring Endurance Series and the RCN circuit racing challenge. The International ADAC Truck Grand Prix is also a real experience. For decades, Germany's truckers have been celebrating Christmas with country music, camping and fast-paced racing. This year, the truckers will be on the loose from July 11 to 13. The traditional music festival has recently undergone a rejuvenation. The revamped Saturday evening program now features well-known party artists, and affordable single-day tickets are available for this event. Europe's most famous racing series, the DTM (August 8-10), will once again be a guest on the Nürburgring's sprint track – and will shine with a wide variety of brands, familiar faces and thrilling racing. Or how about a journey back in time to the last century of motorsport? With the Nürburgring Classic (June 13-15), the BELMOT Oldtimer Grand Prix (August 1-3) and the ADAC 1000 km race (September 20-21), three events are dedicated to historic racing cars. Indoor events from comedy to sportsThere will be plenty of laughter and celebration off the track this year: Comedian Carolin Kebekus will be making a guest appearance in the ring°arena in the fall (September 20) with her celebrated Shesus tour. NightWash Live will also be bringing stand-up comedy to the Nürburgring again this year, on November 15. And at Darts am Ring, some of the world's best dart throwers will transform the ring°arena into a madhouse together with many celebrating darts fans on March 29 – just like at the big role model, the Ally Pally. The Nürburgring Family Day on October 26 and the Job Fair on November 7 and 8 round off the indoor highlights. And because the Nürburgring is not just about watching, other hands-on events are looking forward to motivated participants. Whether on two wheels at Rad am Ring (July 18-20), on foot at the Hotfoot Run (May 10), or with the powerful Gargenschatz at GRIP - das Motorevent (July 6). Speaking of garage treasures: Numerous tourist driving days are planned again for all petrol heads, during which anyone can drive on the ring. The Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit will open their barriers on well over 100 days.

Successful Season Opener – Tourist Drivers Bring the Roar of Engines Back

10.03.2025

Over the weekend, tourist drivers returned the roar of engines to the Nürburgring under truly perfect conditions. With bright sunshine and temperatures reaching up to 16 degrees Celsius, fans and enthusiasts took their first laps of the season. Thousands of visitors lined the legendary track on both days, soaking in the unique atmosphere of the Ring. The tourist drivers were the first to test sections of the newly resurfaced Nordschleife. Beforehand, the Nürburgring had successfully completed its winter construction work. Fresh asphalt in the Pflanzgarten, Adenauer Forst, and Kesselchen sections ensures top conditions for all drivers throughout the 2025 season. Another premiere at the first tourist driving weekend was the new exit at Döttinger Höhe. "It was a truly successful season opener for us and for all visitors," said Nürburgring Managing Director Ingo Böder. "Both the new exit and the fully operational digital track monitoring system performed excellently. As a result, we were able to maximize traffic flow and safety on the track right from the first weekend." Tourist Drivers Share Their Excitement for the Season StartWith the reopening of the Nordschleife, the legendary Nürburgring asphalt awoke from its winter break—much to the delight of the tourist drivers. "The season is finally back, and so is the Nordschleife! The new exit and digitalization were a great investment and noticeably ease traffic," summarized Christian Scherer from Montabaur, expressing his enthusiasm. US citizen Tom Tisdale, who turned heads on the track with his Corvette, also praised the improvements: "The new asphalt has great grip. You always need a little time to get used to it after the winter, but I quickly got an excellent feel for the car." "The atmosphere was simply incredible," said George Basdos from Greece. "Perfect weather, amazing cars everywhere—the Nürburgring is back, and it feels fantastic!" Dutch content creator Misha Charoudin, who has been at the Nürburgring for ten years, added: "We've never had such great weather for a season opener. The new asphalt sections are a dream, and the new exit works flawlessly." Alongside the track, the thousands of visitors contributed to the typical Nürburgring experience. "At times, it almost felt like Good Friday—so much excitement and great vibes everywhere!" said Viktoria Bochen from Germany. "I really missed the people around the Ring and was thrilled to see so many familiar faces again." Julien from France, who traveled eleven hours just for the first tourist driving weekend, summed up what many were thinking: "If the rest of the season is like this, we're in for a fantastic year!"

ROCK AM RING 2025 – SOLD OUT!

05.03.2025

Record advance ticket sales for anniversary: Germany's most important festival is looking forward to 90,000 fans. From June 6-8, 2025, Rock am Ring will celebrate its 40th anniversary with 100 acts. Just in time for its fortieth anniversary, the legendary German festival is reporting sold out. Never before have 90,000 tickets for the mega-event at the Nürburgring been sold out so early. Rock am Ring has been breaking records for months, and now the most important German festival is sold out. In a highly dynamic European festival landscape, the industry leader is holding its own by focusing on an exclusive program and on the festival experience of the fans – the classic Rock am Ring values. The success story comes just in time for the 40th anniversary of the iconic festival. On the 1985 Whitsun weekend, tens of thousands of music fans made the pilgrimage to the Nürburgring for the first time, in a different century, a completely different festival landscape. The anniversary edition now represents both the history of Rock am Ring and a departure into the future. In times of constant change, the genuine festival promise of a temporary utopia on the Ring remains and each year anew creates the framework for a well-organized chaos.  The newly designed Rock am Ring site, with its futuristic elements, towering LED columns and the biggest stages in the festival's history, is symbolic of this controlled escapism. “We are building a small parallel universe with numerous loving details that fans can dive into with gusto,” says Jana Posth, Festival Director Rock am Ring. At Rock am Ring, ensuring the best festival experience for fans still means first and foremost: presenting the best possible program. Rock am Ring will remain a multi-genre festival with a focus on guitar in its anniversary year, but in 2025 it will be more diverse than ever: insider tips, crowd favorites, and major acts will be performing back-to-back, and the program will reflect the full diversity of the current music scene. That is the magic of Rock am Ring: everything that festival culture stands for will be brought to life again at the Nürburgring in 2025, with concerts lasting well into the night and a clear focus on a passion for music and community.

A focus on safety – revamped program for motorcyclists at the Nürburgring

20.02.2025

The Nürburgring has restructured its offering for motorcyclists. The most important change is that motorcycles and cars will no longer be on the tracks at the same time. To make the Nürburgring experience particularly safe for bikers, the track operator is introducing professional training and exclusive time slots for two-wheelers from this season onwards. The Nürburgring's tourist rides are a popular attraction for everyone. Anyone with their own vehicle can take a turn on the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife during opening hours. “The safety of all participants is our top priority,” explains Nürburgring Managing Director Ingo Böder, drawing attention to a crucial finding in this context: ”We have taken a very close look at the situation regarding the simultaneous participation of cars and motorcycles in tourist trips.” The analysis revealed that “the different driving dynamics can lead to misunderstandings between two- and four-wheelers,” says Böder. “In this case, motorcyclists are particularly at risk because, unlike car drivers, they have no crumple zone. That is why we have decided to strictly separate cars and motorcyclists in the future and to restructure the offer for bikers so that they can enjoy the Nürburgring experience as safely as possible.” Training with guided driving for motorcyclists on the NordschleifeThe restructuring plan provides for different options for the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit. In the future, motorcyclists will only be able to experience the 21-kilometre Nordschleife under the supervision of trained guides during training sessions and courses. Four full-day sessions will be offered for motorcyclists in 2025. The Motorrad Action Team (July 30-31) and ADAC Doc-Scholl Driver Training (August 13-14) are each organizing full-day training formats for two-wheelers. The subdivision into different groups makes the offer suitable for beginners as well as for very experienced Nordschleife connoisseurs. “These offers enable participants to experience the unique but challenging track under professional guidance and controlled conditions,” explains Ingo Böder. Grand Prix circuit: exclusive motorcycle stints and a wide range of training coursesMotorcyclists can continue to take part in tourist trips on the Grand Prix circuit. On the much more extensive track, bikers will benefit from exclusive stints during opening hours. These can be flexibly arranged according to the daily volume of two-wheelers and can be easily implemented on the 5.1-kilometer-long track. The exclusive stints for two-wheelers should provide a high level of riding comfort and increased safety for bikers thanks to the uniform driving lines. According to current planning, the Grand Prix circuit will open a total of 38 times in 2025. In addition, motorcycle training and track days will also take place here. Under the guidance of Speer Racing and Ducati 4U, there will be nine dates from May to September that are aimed exclusively at bikers. Flexibility and return options for season tickets and creditMotorcyclists who already have a season ticket or a credit balance for the tourist rides can continue to use these for the offer on the Grand Prix circuit. In the future, the personal credit for the Nordschleife can only be used if the driver participates in the tourist trips with a car. Alternatively, the Nürburgring offers the possibility to easily return season tickets or credit. The Nürburgring info°center is available for this return process.

Falken is the new partner for legendary Nordschleife signs and high-speed sections

14.02.2025

Falken Tyre Europe GmbH and the Nürburgring have entered into a new, far-reaching marketing partnership. The well-known tire manufacturer is intensifying its involvement at the longest permanent race track in the world. In the future, the Falken logo will adorn the 31 signs with the names of the official track sections along the Nordschleife. In addition, a section of the Grand Prix circuit will have a new name: the fast, long stretch on the opposite side of the start-finish straight will now be called the Falkenbogen. More than a quarter of a century ago, a true crowd-pleaser did its first laps at the Nürburgring. Back then, a Nissan Skyline in striking turquoise-green took to the well-known race track. Since then, numerous successful race cars have sported the distinctive Falken look, making it an iconic vehicle livery of the Green Hell. Now, Falken Tyre Europe GmbH and Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG are intensifying their relationship with a new, far-reaching marketing partnership. Initially set to last for three years, the partnership will ensure that one of the world's largest tire manufacturers has an even greater presence at the Nürburgring. The Falken logo will now adorn the famous section signs on the Nordschleife. A total of 31 signs announce the upcoming section to drivers over 20.832 kilometers. They bear familiar names such as Brünnchen, Pflanzgarten or Caracciola-Karussell – and in the future they will also bear the Falken logo. In addition to professional racing drivers at major motorsport events, the signs also provide information to many private drivers on the Nordschleife every day – for example, during tourist trips or track days. Another part of the cooperation is the naming of a section of the Grand Prix circuit. The challenging passage opposite the start-finish straight is now called the Falkenbogen. This full-throttle section, which is located shortly before the end of the 5.148-kilometer lap, regularly provides exciting slipstream duels and spectacular overtaking maneuvers. The name Falkenbogen is now present on the Grand Prix circuit maps and is also mentioned during racing broadcasts. A 240-meter long band of Falken decals is also clearly visible along the track. Nürburgring Managing Director Christian Stephani is pleased about the new partnership: “Falken is one of the brands in motorsport to which fans have a special emotional connection. Whether as a racing team in long-distance races on the Nordschleife or at events such as the Falken Driftshow at the 24-hour race – Falken stands for passion for motorsport at the Nürburgring. That's why we are very happy about this joint commitment, which makes the Falken brand visible both on the Nordschleife and on the Grand Prix circuit all year round. The high standards of the Nürburgring and Falken brands are an excellent match.” “The sponsorship of the Nordschleife section signs underlines the long-standing, trusted relationship between Falken and the Nürburgring. We look forward to experiencing further successful years at the Ring, to expanding the history of Falken motorsport and to living up to the official Falken arch from now on,” says Dennis Wilstermann, Assistant Marketing Manager at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH.
