The motorsport season on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife is finally picking up speed and celebrating its first highlight at the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers (April 13 - 14, 2024). The prologue weekend, which has been a must for many teams in recent years as they prepare for the 24h Nürburgring, is set to become a motorsport highlight this year. This is made possible by the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) classification, which attracts numerous other teams and drivers: over 130 vehicles are on the entry list - 30 of them in the victorious SP9 and SP-X classes alone. There will also be a thrilling battle for victories and placings in the rest of the starting field with a total of almost 20 classes. Numerous top drivers, fully occupied classes and spectacular cars will thrill spectators.  > Tickets for the ADAC 24h Qualifiers are available from 25 euros (per day ticket Sat./Sun.) in the ticket store The 24h Qualifiers weekend will provide a good preview of what fans can look forward to at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (May 30 - June 2, 2024). The who's who of the top Nordschleife teams will be among the 30 cars in the classes that are capable of winning. No fewer than seven brands are represented with GT3 models - including the Ferrari of the 2023 24h winners, Frikadelli Racing. With a number of GT3 teams unable to compete at the Nürburgring in the NLS opener a week before the qualifiers due to a parallel round of the GT World Challenge Europe, the list of entry teams is also a parade of the best Nordschleife teams.  Get-together of the top teamsAll other signs point to a real motorsport spectacle. Scherer Sport PHX (Audi), ROWE Racing and BMW M-Team for BMW, Konrad and Abt in the Lamborghini camp: this is a rendezvous of those who have set the tone on the Nordschleife in recent years. This also applies to the GT3 brands with the most participants: The six Porsche 911 GT3 Rs will be entered by Falken and Manthey, among others. The beefy Mercedes-AMG GT3s are represented eight times in the field, fielded by Bilstein and GetSpeed, among others. NLS points and 24h preparations - the weekend counts double! The fact that the tenth edition of the 24h Qualifiers will be the one with the most participants to date is of course due to its double appeal. For the top teams in particular, the focus will be on careful preparation for the 24h Nürburgring. Every lap on the track counts and every top speed kilometer provides valuable insights into what can still be improved. Of course, the fact that the first race on Saturday will not start until late afternoon will contribute to the maximum training effect. Starting at 17:30, the race will run for four hours into the darker evening hours - ideal preparation for the 24-hour race at the end of May. The second race on Sunday afternoon (start at 13:00) also lasts four hours. Both heats are classified as NLS races and are therefore doubly exciting.  Exciting cars, exciting driversFans can look forward to an exciting starting field at the 24h Qualifiers. One of the eye-catchers is the popular Dacia Logan from Ollis Garage (#318), which was rebuilt with the support of a crowdfunding campaign after a racing accident at the 24h and now competes as a 280 hp turbo in the SP3T class. The newly built VW New Beetle RSR, which the White Angel team is sending into the race, also stands for crowdfunding of a special kind: Bernd Albrecht and his team are raising money during the race, which will be used to build schools in developing countries. There are also some exciting newcomers to the Nordschleife circus among the drivers. These include ex-Formula 1 and DTM driver Timo Glock, who will share a BMW M4 GT4 (#145) with two-time DTM champion Timo Scheider (24h winner in 2003) and DTM Trophy driver Theo Oeverhaus. For Glock, it is also about qualifying for the "big" DMSB Nordschleife permit, which would then also allow him to compete in higher classes in the future. The same applies to former Formula 1 driver Felipe Nasr, who is completing his permit qualification in a Porsche 718 Cayman from Four Motors. The team is also continuing its long series of sustainable motorsport projects and is refueling its Porsche with a bio-fuel, which is why it is competing in the "AT" class for vehicles with alternative fuels. Huge supporting program with lots of motorsport and - judo!If the two races on Saturday and Sunday aren't enough motorsport for you, the Qualifiers weekend offers plenty of other exciting competitions free of charge. After the first qualifying session on Saturday morning, the Rundstrecken-Challenge Nürburgring (RCN) will start its first performance test of the season at 13:00. Once again this year, the popular mass-sport series is reporting a large number of participants, which will provide great entertainment while waiting for the first qualifying race. Since both the RCN and the 24h Qualifiers will be using the special 24h track variant of the Nordschleife and the Grand Prix circuit this weekend, the Mercedes Arena will traditionally not be used. The organizing ADAC Nordrhein will take advantage of this to offer the best motorsport here as well: There will be a car slalom event there on both Saturday and Sunday, for which three-digit numbers of starters are also expected. There will also be a full house for the weekend's competition for the youngest motor sports enthusiasts: From 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, 200 junior drivers will compete in youth kart slaloms on the "helipad" in the Grand Prix paddock. The special feature here is that there will be a competition with combustion engines as well as an e-kart slalom. If that's not enough sporting entertainment for you, you should make your way to the ring°arena: The German Men's Individual Judo Championship in the over-30 age category will be held there this weekend. The competitions are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, and admission to the ring°arena is free!

Huge program at the 24h Qualifiers

15.03.2024

This will be an exciting race weekend with motorsport from the junior to the top professional leagues: the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers on April 13/14, 2024 will not only serve as the traditional last test opportunity for the participants of the 24h Nürburgring before the season highlight at the end of May. The two four-hour races on Saturday and Sunday will also count towards the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) for the first time and should therefore treat fans around the Nordschleife to a great field of entrants. The starting field for the final 24-hour test and double-header of the NLS will not only be impressive in the top class of GT3 cars. There will also be numerous participants in the production car, cup and "24h Special" classes. In addition, there will be hundreds of motorsport drivers competing in the supporting program: Automobile slaloms in the Mercedes Arena are just as much a part of the weekend as the first round of the RCN season as a popular sports league on the Nordschleife. On the old helicopter landing pad in the paddock, hundreds of young kart racers will also compete in youth kart slaloms on combustion and electric karts. No motorsport fan should miss out on this wide range of exciting competitions: Tickets are available from 25 euros (day ticket Saturday or Sunday) here on the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürbrurgring homepage. > More info & tickets Even though the entry deadline for the 24h Qualifiers still runs until the Easter weekend, a first-class sporting event is already on the cards: The two races on Saturday afternoon (start at 17:30) and on Sunday (start at 13:00) will each run for four hours over the same variant of the Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit that will also be used for the season highlight from May 30 to June 2. In the GT3 class, where the potential winning teams can be found, the top teams are therefore also expected with their works-based models from Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche. They will be opposed by a whole pack of other beefy GT3s, with Aston Martin, Ferrari and Lamborghini also in the mix as things stand at present. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has also announced its return to the 24h Nürburgring and is likely to liven up the action at the Ring again with its spectacular prototype-style racing car. Organizers expect strong line-up of classesA measure devised by the organizing ADAC Nordrhein together with the German Sports Drivers' Association DSK and the motorsport umbrella organization DMSB will provide an additional boost to the starting field: Access to the "Permit Nordschleife", the top license level of which allows drivers in GT3 to take part in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, has been streamlined. Interested top drivers can now complete the training and gain the necessary practical experience on the longest and most beautiful race track in the world during the 24h Qualifiers weekend. This will be of particular benefit to top international drivers, who will no longer have to travel to the Ring several times if they want to take part in the legendary 24-hour race. An important step on their way: taking part in two endurance races on the Nordschleife in one of the "small" classes. This could bring additional participants to the starting field, as could the NLS classification. After all, the tradition-steeped series also impresses with the close competition in the numerous special and production car classes. Not to be forgotten: the Cup classes, in which BWM and Porsche models, for example, compete. The latter compete in their own, highly endowed championship in the "Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring", which has certainly not been short of participants in recent years. Clear the ring for a big weekend of popular sportThere are many exciting facets of amateur and grassroots racing to experience at the ADAC 24h Qualifiers, and visitors are cordially invited to be thrilled by full starting fields and close fights. The RCN, whose three-and-a-half-hour performance test on Saturday after qualifying for the first Qualifiers race is traditionally an important part of the program, will shorten the waiting time in a highly entertaining way. This is because the series, which regularly attracted over 150 participants last year, uses the weekend for the start of the season. A good opportunity to see who has done the best preparation work during the winter break. The automobile slaloms on Saturday and Sunday will also provide a real spectator experience. As the 24-hour version of the track will be used for the qualifiers, the Mercedes Arena will be free on Saturdays and Sundays. This is where the pylon courses will be set up, where the participants will compete for points for the ADAC North Rhine Championship and the regional club's cup competition from the morning. Vehicle control and speed, driving dynamics and precision are required of the drivers in slalom racing, making it a rewarding experience to watch. This also applies to the youth kart slaloms, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am. The organizers are currently being inundated with entries, so that in the end almost 200 young drivers will take part in the competitions for combustion karts and electric karts. The course on the "Helipad" in the Grand Prix paddock has been marked out for these youngest drivers of the weekend - all the more reason to stop by the paddock. As in all other open spectator areas, admission is included in every ticket.

All dates fixed – long-distance season is ready to start

27.02.2024

A total of 15 thrilling races, two endurance series and a 24-hour race as the season highlight: Nürburgring fans can look forward to more motorsport action in the Green Hell than ever before in the 2024 season. The drivers and teams of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NES) and the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) are ready to battle for positions, points and trophies on the legendary tarmac. The fourth weekend in March will finally see the return of thrilling motorsport at the Nürburgring. When the NES opens the endurance season with its warm-up on March 22 and 23, fans can look forward to the sound of engines and an extensive view of the action - with free admission to the open grandstands and paddock. Also included: a visit to the ring°werk motorsport experience museum. 24h Qualifiers and NES as a dress rehearsal for the highlight of the yearJust two weeks later, the NLS also kicks off its season. With a so-called "double-header" - with two races on one weekend - on April 6 and 7. Directly afterwards, the 24h Qualifiers will once again take place over two days in the Green Hell. From April 13 to 14, these are not only the prologue to the annual highlight in May, but also count towards the NLS championship standings for the first time. As a dress rehearsal for the teams and to get the fans in the mood before the 24-hour race, the NES awaits once again afterwards. At the race on May 4, man and machine will test their strength one last time on the combination of the Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife before the big showdown from May 30 to June 2, 2024. Schedule for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring is setAt the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, fans can look forward to a varied program on and off the track. In addition to the kick-off at the Adenauer Racing Day on Wednesday (May 29th), the first session will follow the next day with the so-called night qualifying, which will continue into the dark - including a campfire atmosphere around the legendary asphalt. On Friday, the battle for the top grid positions will be decided as usual in the top qualifying session, before the 24-hour marathon begins on Saturday at 4 pm. NES double-header in September, NLS season finale in NovemberFrom now until November, the two racing series will alternate at the Nürburgring, offering fans of endurance motorsport thrilling races every month. The NES also has a "double-header" as a season highlight. On the weekend of September 14 and 15, the teams will be able to hunt for points in the championship twice. Who will be crowned champion in the end will be decided in both series at the respective finals in November. While the last race in the NES will be held on November 9, the NLS is responsible for the official season finale at the Nürburgring. On November 16, the lights will turn green for the last time in the 2024 season. Schedule for 24h and 24h Qualifiers published

21.02.2024

The timetables for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring and the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers are now available. This is the traditional starting signal for many fans to begin planning for the motorsport event of the year and also gives participants and teams early planning security. This year, it should not be too difficult for them to get their bearings: The sporting program and procedures for the 24h Nürburgring from 30 May to 2 June 2024 are largely the same as last year. However, the schedule for the prologue a month and a half beforehand has been significantly revised: the two four-hour races at the 24h Qualifiers (April 12 - 14) are part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) for the first time this year and therefore promise maximum sporting excitement. The Friday before the Qualifiers weekend will also be dedicated to a permit course, with which Nordschleife rookies can acquire their DMSB Permit Nordschleife (DPN).  > ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers: Timetable and further information> ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring: Timetable and further information For the main protagonists of the 24-hour weekend, the tried-and-tested sporting schedule remains unchanged. Two qualifying sessions are scheduled for Thursday (May 30), during which the race cars can battle for the best set-up and the fastest times for more than five hours. The evening qualifying session ends at 11:30 pm and promises an endurance atmosphere with bonfires and barbecues around the track. On Friday, there will be another 75-minute third qualifying session as a last chance before the dice are finally cast on the starting grid in the early evening - that's when the top qualifying takes place and with it the battle for grid positions at the front of the field. On Saturday, the teams can carry out a final fine-tuning session during the midday warm-up before the 24-hour marathon begins at 16:00. Proven supporting programVisitors to the Nürburgring will experience an exciting supporting program around the 24h Nürburgring, which will remain the same as last year. The first competitive kilometers will be covered in the performance test on Thursday morning, while the touring car legends will hold the first race of the weekend on the GP circuit in the late morning, followed by two more races on Friday and Saturday. The Touring Car Trophy will also have its first race on Thursday - also on the GP circuit - with the second race following on Friday. The ADAC 24h-Classic race promises action on the Nordschleife. It will start again on Saturday morning. Of course, many other activities in the supporting program will also ensure an entertaining weekend. The timetables and schedules will be published once the planning has been completed. 24h Qualifiers count towards the NLS, streamlined schedule in line with the DPN amendmentVisitors to the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers can expect a race weekend with twice the sporting excitement. As the two four-hour races are counted towards the NLS, the starting field is likely to be packed with attractive participants across all vehicle classes, battling for points and placings in the popular racing series. Of course, the weekend will also be dominated by preparations for the highlight of the season. Many top teams use the prologue with its total of eleven and a half hours of driving time on the Nordschleife for intensive preparation and tuning of the race cars. Numerous drivers are also sure to use the races to fulfill the qualification requirements for acquiring the "big" DMSB Permit Nordschleife (DPN) level A. This "additional license" is required for races on the longest and most demanding race track in the world, and Nordschleife rookies can complete the entire learning program as part of the 24h Qualifiers starting this year. This is because a permit course will take place before the two days of competition (Saturday, April 13 - Sunday, April 14), which will initially enable the acquisition of the "small" DPN B, which is required for races with vehicles below the GT3 category. With one of these race cars, the entitlement for the DPN A can then be obtained during the two qualifying races. When the NLS and 24h participants are not populating the track, the Qualifiers should not be boring either. On Saturday, the program will be supplemented by a three-and-a-half-hour RCN performance test.

The 24-hour classics at Spa and the Nürburgring as a ticket bundle

26.01.2024

Two legendary endurance races, twice a whole weekend of action, twice the best endurance drivers and teams as a full assembly: this is what fans can experience this year at the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (May 30 - June 2) and the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa (June 26 - 30). The two traditional events have put together a special package for their visitors this year and are offering the combination of the two four-day tickets (valid Thursday - Sunday) at a special price: the package is included for €126.65 (instead of €149 when the individual prices are added together). As a special gift for the most loyal 24h fans, each ticket also comes with an exclusive lanyard. The package can be ordered immediately via the dedicated ticket store. If you like endurance racing, you will of course already know and love the two endurance classics: both the 24h Nürburgring and the traditional event in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, shine with superlatives and are also held on unique natural race tracks. In both cases, fans can look forward to action-packed events and large, diverse starting fields around the circuit. Nürburgring: local heroes won in 2023 with a record-breaking driveThe Nürburgring hosts the world's largest field of entrants in an international circuit race: the organizing ADAC Nordrhein expects 130 touring cars and GTs to compete for victories and seconds in the numerous competition classes on the world's longest (and for many, most beautiful) race track again this year. At the front: dozens of beefy GT3 cars battling it out for overall victory. At this year's 52nd edition, the successor to the reigning winning team will be sought. The local heroes of the Frikadelli Racing Team won the fastest 24-hour race of all time at the Nürburgring in 2023: Earl Bamber, Nick Catsburg, David Pittard and Felipe Fernandez Laser raced around the 25-km circuit a whopping 162 times in the Ferrari 296 GT3 and also set a new distance record of 4,111.236 km. Spa: Well-known GT3 stars are defending champions at the 100th anniversary eventThe CrowdStrike 24h Hours of Spa is regarded as the biggest pure GT race in the world. In June, 70 cars will battle day and night for supremacy on the seven-kilometre circuit - and it will be under special circumstances. The 2023 winners, the Rowe Racing team, who are also well known at the Ring, will be defending their title in the BMW M4 GT3 at the 100th edition of the classic. Whoever succeeds the reigning winners Marco Wittmann, Philipp Eng and Nick Yelloly can immortalize themselves in the motorsport annals in a special way. The two classics in Germany and Belgium therefore promise the very finest motorsport just one month apart. The best prospects for an exciting summer with a combined ticket for two endurance festivals.

Nürburgring publishes 2024 endurance racing dates

13.10.2023

The Nürburgring is giving a first preview of the 2024 season, and fans and teams of the popular endurance motorsport on the legendary Nordschleife can pull out their calendars. Because in addition to the date for the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring (May 30 to June 2, 2024), which has already been fixed for some time, the provisional dates for the popular formats of an endurance series and the Rundstrecken-Challenge Nürburgring (RCN) are now also fixed. As usual, the Nürburgring will present the entire event calendar for next year at the Essen Motor Show at the beginning of December. The challenges of the most demanding race track in the world are among the special fascinations in motorsport - for professionals, amateurs and fans alike. The endurance motor racing races lasting several hours have always been part of the Nürburgring DNA. That's why many horsepower enthusiasts mark the dates in their calendars well in advance and plan their vacations and free time accordingly. And the racing teams try to plan their entries as early as possible - either at the various races at the Nürburgring or taking into account the international racing calendar. Four-day motorsport festival at the 24h NürburgringNo matter what the respective focus is - planning security plays an important role for the teams. This is also why the Nürburgring already announced in 2021 together with the ADAC Nordrhein, as the organizer of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, that the current contract would be extended early until 2028. The date of the highlight for 2024 was accordingly fixed early. Fans can look forward to a four-day motorsport festival in the Green Hell again next year. The 52nd edition of the endurance classic will take place from Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2, 2024, with the dress rehearsal taking place a good month beforehand - the associated ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers from April 13 to 14, 2024. One race every month - nine dates for endurance seriesAs usual, the coming motorsport year will kick off with the test and set-up day. The first testing opportunity on the combination of Grand Prix circuit and Nordschleife will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024, when the teams taking part in the various races at the Nürburgring can prepare for the tasks ahead. The "warm-up" will be followed each month by fixed dates for an endurance series and for the Nürburgring Circuit Challenge (RCN). From March to October, the operators of the Nürburgring have taken into account the dates here, planning ahead with the respective season highlights. Thus, for an endurance series after the season opener on March 23, 2024, a 12-hour race or a double header (13 - 15.09.2024) can also take place. On this date, Sunday has already been reserved in addition to the usual race Saturday. The season finale is scheduled for October 12. Popular sport in the Green Hell: Nürburgring Circuit Challenge No racing series better represents the fact that the Nürburgring is also the home of popular sport than the Nürburgring Circuit Challenge. In this context, the entry-level series is called GLP - a regularity test whose regulations allow drivers to start with a street-legal vehicle. The goal is consistency. The participants must repeat their submitted lap time as accurately as possible in the subsequent confirmation laps. The next stage is the so-called performance test, the Nürburgring Circuit Challenge. This must be contested with a race-ready car and with at least the DMSB license A. In addition to a points system based on the lap times driven, there is also the 3-hour "Schwedenkreuz" race at the end of the season, which is counted as the eighth race. There the participants can gain their first racing experience. The dates for these popular formats have now also been set well in advance of the start of the season. The green light for the start of the RCN / GLP 2024 will be given at the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifier on the second weekend in April. The RCN will celebrate another appearance as usual in the context of the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring. In October, there will be a double-header of the circuit challenge: on Sunday, October 13, and on Saturday, October 26, with the 3h race as the season's crowning finale. New date for the 24h Nürburgring 2024

23.06.2023

The 24h Nürburgring will take place on the weekend of Corpus Christi in 2024 (30 May to 2 June). This was announced today by the organising ADAC Nordrhein. The rescheduling had become necessary because a round of the FIA WEC in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium, had been scheduled at short notice for the Ascension weekend at the beginning of May, which had already been planned for years. For many teams and drivers, the overlap of the two events would have posed hardly solvable problems, as the FIA World Endurance Championship will also announce a class for the GT3 cars that have been competing at the Nürburgring for years from 2024. "We didn't want to impose this on our participants, nor on the endurance fans," said Walter Hornung, race director of the 24h Nürburgring. "Since the organisers of Rock am Ring and also the Nürburgring have been extremely flexible, we were able to make the postponement possible." Rock am Ring will take place as planned on 7 to 9 June 2024, but the set-up and dismantling times of the two mega-events, which now take place in immediate succession, had to be drastically shortened.  "Precisely because we know how complex the coordination with other series and individual events in GT3 racing is, we have already announced 2021 to 2028 dates for the 24h Nürburgring," says Walter Hornung. "Of course, all the relevant players are aware of this so that scheduling overlaps in the international calendar are avoided and collisions with other major events at the same venue are prevented. We are all the happier that Rock am Ring and the Nürburgring are joining us in taking on the short-term logistical and technical challenge of having two completely different events, each with tens of thousands of spectators, take place one right after the other." Advance sales for Rock am Ring have already opened at www.rock-am-ring.com, and tickets for the 24h Nürburgring 2024 will also be available shortly at www.24h-rennen.de.
