World Rallycross Championship is coming to Nürburgring in 2020

This is good news for all those who are looking for exciting and particularly entertaining motorsport: The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy will come to the Nürburgring in 2020. On the weekend of 1-2 August, visitors can look forward to many races, each with up to six ultra-fast vehicles. Competing on the Müllenbachschleife of the Grand Prix track, the drivers won’t go easy on each other. After all, car-to-car contact is an important part of gravel and asphalt racing. The mood will be unique as well, as the stands surround the track like a stadium. From here, the audience can watch the action on the entire circuit.
More information
"This is going to be a very spectacular weekend. We are proud that we are able to bring this unique World Championship to the Nürburgring,” says Nürburgring CEO Mirco Markfort, looking forward to the new event in the calendar 2020. The particularly powerful and fast rally cars will be a special experience: Boasting over 600 PS, they accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.9 seconds, which makes them even faster than Formula 1 cars.
Excitement to the finish line - also thanks to "Joker Lap"
The races of the World Rallycross Championship fascinate with a mixture of exciting elimination races up to the final, relentless battles for positions, and excitement until the last of the maximum six laps per race. The fact that one does not know until the end who is winning is also due to the so-called "Joker Lap". This is an extra section of track that each car has to pass through once in the race. When this makes the most sense is the tactical decision of the driver.
Family-friendly price structure - Children up to 12 years free of charge
The price structure is particularly family friendly. The day ticket is available for only EUR 39 (Saturday) or EUR 49 (Sunday) when bought in advance. The weekend ticket also costs EUR 49 as an early bird offer until 31 December 2019. Children up to 12 years are admitted free of charge. Teenagers aged 13-15 and people with disabilities (from 50%) pay half. VIP tickets are available as well.
