Blåkläder becomes official workwear partner of the Nürburgring

The "toughest workwear on the market" is used on the toughest race track in the world. The Nürburgring and the Swedish premium brand Blåkläder have entered into a partnership that includes equipping the technical staff of the race track. High-quality workwear such as functional trousers, warm jackets or gloves and other products will be used. The Ring's employees are thus ideally equipped for their tasks in the indoor and outdoor areas of the Nürburgring event location.

Around 26 km of race track, numerous buildings such as the ring°werk, the ring°boulevard and the grandstands or outdoor locations such as the off-road park and the paddock - the Nürburgring not only has a lot to offer on a huge area, but also has a lot to maintain. Responsible for this are the employees of the technical service and building management. In addition to sound specialist knowledge and high-quality tools, the employees need one thing above all else for their varied tasks: High-quality professional work clothing.

"With Blåkläder, we have been able to win one of the leading manufacturers of workwear as a partner," says Sales Manager Michael Dürbaum, who is also pleased that the Swedish company sets high standards for its products: "It is important to us that our partners represent similar values to those we represent as a race track. In this way, cooperations can be lived beyond the scope of the contract". Blåkläder has been producing professional workwear since 1959 with a focus on quality, functionality, design and sustainability.

"Motorsport is emotional, intense and very thrilling! Many of our customers and we at Blåkläder itself are enthusiastic motorsport fans. That's why we rely on cult partners with a long tradition. For example, we have been involved in rally sports for years and are now involved in the legendary Nürburgring. Here, too, the motto is: Premium workwear meets the world's most legendary race track," says Maik Friedrichs, Managing Director of Blåkläder Deutschland GmbH, delighted with the cooperation.

The cooperation provides for the technical and handicraft departments of the Nürburgring, such as the so-called "Technical Service" or facility management, to be equipped with Blåkläder's product range. The departments are responsible for a wide range of activities on and off the race tracks. These include preparing the grounds for public events, such as the Formula 1 Aramco Grand Prix of the Eifel in 2020. The cooperation initially runs until the end of 2023 with the aim of further expanding the partnership.
