Up to 20,000 fans will be live at the Formula 1 return!

The return of Formula 1 at the Nürburgring will take place in front of up to 20,000 spectators. This has now been approved by the district administration of Ahrweiler for the "Formula 1 Aramco Grand Prix of the Eifel". They can safely follow the racing action from their seats along the track. In order to be able to react to the current situation at any time, the advance ticket sales will take place in several sales stages and health and safety procedures will be in place for all fans. Accordingly, various grandstands will only be activated gradually. From Tuesday, 22nd September 12 o'clock, tickets for the top class of motorsport will be available only online, personalised and seating-accurate at www.nuerburgring.de/formula1. For just 199 euros, fans can experience the entire weekend.

When Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and co. now put the pedal to the metal on the 5.148 kilometre Grand Prix circuit of the Nürburgring, fans will be able to cheer on their idols around the track. During the first advance booking stage, the Nürburgring will start with the tried and tested T3 and T4a grandstands and additionally with the T5b grandstand, which belongs to the cheapest ticket category. “It is also important to us in the first stage to offer tickets in different price categories,“ explains Nürburgring Managing Director Mirco Markfort. “Of course, in times of COVID-19 and the enormous personnel and planning effort this entails, everything is a question of cost. But it's also about giving all fans the opportunity to secure tickets and enjoy the race safely“. If the level of infection does not exceed the limit values in the following days, the Nürburgring will release additional grandstands in coordination with the authorities.

Safety from the booking to the seat
Numerous measures are taken to ensure a safe motorsport experience. This begins with the contactless ticket purchase, which is only possible online, personalised and seating-accurate. For full contact traceability, the opened grandstands are divided into individual sections and designated seating blocks. These designated blocks each have four bookable seats and a corresponding distance among each other. On the way from the ticket control to the seat, masks are mandatory. Seat markers guarantee that everyone will take their personalised seat. Each grandstand has also been allocated a fixed parking zone. A visitor guidance system then ensures that visitors from different grandstands do not have to meet each other.

Official event poster published
This good news for all motorsport fans is also accompanied by a visually appealing design. Because at the same time, the Nürburgring is also presenting the official event poster for the Formula 1 race in the Eifel. The appealing design focuses on the racing cars of the series, the forest of the Green Hell as well as the German colours. “The design conveys very well what the Formula 1 race at the Nürburgring is all about“, describes Markfort. “It is the emotional return of Formula 1 with which we are connected by a long history and many stories. With the name of the event, the “Formula 1 Aramco Großer Preis der Eifel“, we are simultaneously conveying the great affinity to the entire region.
