How much does participation cost per person?
Participation in the sports driver training onFollowing successful participation in the Grand Prix track costs € 795 per person without licence qualification. You have the option to obtain the national A licence qualification according to DMSB regulations – in this case, the training costs € 895 per person.
How long does it take to complete the training?

The sports driver training on the Grand Prix

track takes one day and includes 3,5-4 hours of driving time.

Which track will be used?

This training is carried out on circuit 1 of the Nürburgring Grand Prix track.

How much driving time is included?

Approx. 3,5 - 4 hours

What are the physical requirements?

Participants in a sports driver training at the Nürburgring must be at least 18 years old.

Do I need a driving licence?

Yes, all participants have to hold a valid Class B driving licence that has to be presented on the day of the event.
Does the Nürburgring provide the cars?

No, the Nürburgring does not provide the cars.

The participants have to bring their own vehicles to take part in the sports

driver training.

What is provided as part of the event?

All participants are provided with start numbers.
What do I have to bring for the event?

In order to take part in our sports driver training, you have to bring a car as well as your valid driving licence (Class B). You should also wear comfortable clothing and bring a helmet and balaclava.
Will I be able to obtain a licence qualification?

Yes, you can obtain the national A Licence according to DMSB regulations.
Will I be charged if the car is damaged because of me?

Yes, repair costs for damage to the crash barriers will be passed on. Damage to other cars or objects is to be paid for by the participant or their insurance company.
What happens if I cancel a fixed date?

If you are unable to attend a booked training, you

will be charged a cancellation fee.

Am I obliged to take out cancellation insurance?

No, but we expressly recommend that you do so.

May I bring an accompanying person? Will there be extra charges?

You are welcome to bring accompanying persons to watch your formula training. Please note, however, that we charge the following fees:

  • € 65.- per person for accompanying persons from the age of 13 up
  • € 35.- per person for accompanying persons from the age of 6 up to the age of 12

Due to the current situation only one accompanying person per participant is allowed.

Can my accompanying person also be my co-driver?
Generally, yes, but we strongly advise against this. The minimum age for passengers is 18 years.
Is it permitted to take pictures or record videos during the event?
Yes, it is permitted to take pictures and record videos for private use – provided that all safety regulations are complied with. It is not permitted to use GoPro cameras that are mounted outside the car.
Am I insured if there is an accident during the training?

Yes, as a participant you have accident insurance.
