From 8 to 10 June 2012, everything will be about one century of motorsports history on two, three and four wheels by the time-honoured Nürburg Castle. The audience can once again look forward to an action-packed programme with top-class race series, as always close its fans.

With its combination of race series for cars, motorcycles and teams, the ADAC Eifel race for the Jan Wellem Cup is still one-of-a-kind in Europe. Apart from all the action on the race track, the paddock also offers plenty of excitement.

From the “Battle of the Dwarves” and all the way to the pre-war displacement monsters of the Classic Drivers Club: the “ADAC Eifel race for the Jan Wellem Cupe” offers another top-class programme in 2012. Düsseldorf’s automobile and motorsports club (DAMC 05), the organiser of the event, again expects around 1,000 participants. The absolute highlights include the Eifel race, which lent the event its name, with around 200 starters and the spectacular “Kremer Racing – Night of Legends”.

Apart from all the action on the track, there will be plenty of exciting things happening in the paddock. The helicopter parking area and the Mercedes arena will once again be turned into a huge exhibition space for the automobile clubs meeting with its more than 600 participants. There you will be able to marvel at countless automobile rarities and lovingly restored little treasures.

THE HISTORY OF THE EIFEL RACE

With a history reaching back to the year 1922, the ADAC Eifel race is the most traditional motorsports event in Germany. It consists of a series of 66 events so far, which have taken place over 81 years, on a par with such classic as the Grand Prix of Germany, France, Italy and Monaco, the 24-hour race in Le Mans and the 500-mile race in Indianapolis. The Eifel race is associated with names, events, automobiles, motorcycles and countless anecdotes that have made history.
