How much does participation cost per person?

Participation in the Formula Racing Plus training costs € 565 per person on weekdays and € 619 on weekends (incl. VAT).

How long does it take to complete the training?

The Formula Racing Plus training takes 0.5 days and includes 30-40 minutes of driving time.

Which track will be used?
This training is carried out on circuit 3 (Müllenbach loop) of the Nürburgring Grand Prix track.
How much driving time is included?

Approx. 30 - 40 minutes

What are the physical requirements?

The requirements to take part in a Formula Racing training at the Nürburgring are as follows:
  • Body height: < 1.95 m
  • Body weight: < 115 kg
  • Shoe size: < 47
  • minimum age: 18 years
  • All participants have to hold a valid Class B driving licence.
  • Language: All trainings are carried out in German and/or English language. The participants have to speak and understand German or English.

Basically, it is the proportional distribution of body weight and size that determines whether or not a person is allowed to participate. Feel free to call us if you are not sure whether you meet the requirements.

Do I need a driving licence?

Yes, all participants have to hold a valid Class B driving licence that has to be presented on the day of the event.
Does the Nürburgring provide the cars?

Yes, the formula cars are provided by Nürburgring 1927 GmbH & Co. KG.

What is provided as part of the event?

All participants are provided with helmets with built-in radio, racing overalls, racing gloves and balaclavas. All materials are fireproof and FIA approved.
What do I have to bring for the event?

All participants should wear narrow shoes and comfortable clothing
Will I be able to obtain a licence qualification?

No, this is not part of the Formula Racing Plus training. A licence qualification (national A Licence according to DMSB regulations) can be obtained as part of the Formula Racing Professional training and the sports driver training on the Grand Prix track.
Does the event take place even if it rains?

Yes, you can drive even if it rains.
Will I be charged if the car is damaged because of me?

No, unless the damage is due to intent or gross negligence.
What happens if I cancel a fixed date?

 

If you are unable to attend a booked training, you will be charged a

cancellation fee.

Am I obliged to take out cancellation insurance?

No, but we expressly recommend that you do so. Please see the terms and conditions of the Nürburgring Driving Academy for further details.
May I bring an accompanying person? Will there be extra charges?

You are welcome to bring accompanying persons to watch your formula training. Please note, however, that we charge the following fees:

  • € 15,- per person for accompanying persons from the age of 13 up
  • € 10,- per person for accompanying persons up to the age of 12
May I bring pets?

We would like to expressly point out that it is not permitted to bring pets to formula trainings at the Nürburging.
Is it permitted to take pictures or record videos during the event?

Yes, it is permitted to take pictures and record videos for private use. The use of your own GoPro camera will have to be checked and approved on site.
